The Royal Yachting Association (RYA), is the national body for all forms of boating, including dinghy and yacht racing, motor and sail cruising, RIBs and sports boats, powerboat racing, windsurfing, inland cruising and narrowboats, and personal watercraft.

About the conference:
The conference is open to RYA Yachtmaster and Cruising Instructors, Examiners and Principals.
This year there will not be a keynote speaker, instead a detailed presentation on the recent tragic loss of Cheeki Rafiki will be delivered, including the findings from the MAIB investigation and some guidance on what we as instructors can do to help better educate our students on some of the lessons learned.

During the conference you will have the opportunity to attend expert led workshops and discussion groups and it is also the perfect opportunity for you to have your say, share your thoughts and give feedback on various topics as well as hear about updates planned for the RYA Cruising Schemes.
The RYA Yachtmaster Instructor conference is a fantastic opportunity for instructors to catch up with friends and for new ones to make important contacts within the industry.
The industry continues to change at a frenetic pace and this is a great opportunity for our instructors to hear about what is happening both in the UK and overseas. We have had a busy year and we look forward to sharing the many developments with you. At the same time RYA training department personnel look forward to the opportunity to hear suggestions and feedback from the backbone of the RYA Cruising Scheme – our network of instructors and examiners. I hope to see as many of you there as possible.
